In October of 2020, Dr. Maki Fukami conducted an intensive course “Emergency Management Basic” on Covid-19 at the Graduate School of Management of Kyoto University.
This year, classes were a hybrid of videos, live classes, and online courses due to Covid-19.
During the course, 6 speakers from 5 different countries were invited as guest speakers, and discussed FEMA’s role in infectious disease control, why the U.S. failed this time, why Taiwan, Singapore, and Vietnam did well, and more.
The course was a great success with brilliant students.
