On January 26, 2015, IIGR welcomed our first student intern from outside the United States.
Ms. So Eun Park comes to us from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea, were she is a senior. So Eun is interested in international affairs, and she is assisting IIGR by researching disaster management and disaster resilience in South Korea. So Eun is quickly learning the basics of emergency management, and her ability to study reports and documents in the original Korean language is a big help to IIGR in better understanding the South Korean situation with regard to emergencies and disasters.
