In January of 2018, Dr. Maki Fukami visited the Washington D.C. Emergency Management Agency, Maryland Emergency Management Agency, Highway Emergency Management Agency, and the United States Department of Transpiration for Nexco USA’s Emergency Management Training. The National Academy held a workshop on Traffic Emergency Management.

In January of 2018, Dr. Fukami visited the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and met with the Chairman, Kristine Svinicki.
